Art Licensing for Your Business - Using Artist Designed Patterns for Product Design
For businesses big or small, art licensing can be an incredibly beneficial part of your process. If you have never heard of “art licensing” before, think of it as renting a piece of art or design for your products. This is a very basic explanation, but read on for a full explanation about how you can license with me, how the process works, and how using my art can help your brand.
Reasons You Should License Art for Your Business
Over the course of my career as an artist and pattern designer my designs have been used on a wide range of items, from apparel to stationary. The major benefits of licensing art from my collection include:
A large selection of eye-catching designs without needing any in house design resources.
Cost Savings! When you license art directly you can choose the manufacturer. Save on costs and shipping by choosing a local manufacturer.
Stand out from your competitors with unique, one-of-a-kind designs.
Flexibility: Designs can be used on all kinds of products from fashion to home decor and beyond.
Scale up production easily without the hassle of creating new designs. You can license multiple coordinated designs, license an entire collection, or reach out to me to discuss extended contracts for additional products or longer periods.
I am happy to work with you on modifications, adjustments, and custom work so you get exactly what you need for your business.

My Journey with Other Brands
Over the years my art has been featured on products globally, from kids' raincoats in Australia to gift wrap for a Hawaiian company and digital greeting cards that are used worldwide. I have been fortunate to collaborate with a large variety of businesses such as big brands like Target, Trader Joe's, and Ravensburger, as well as small businesses who use my designs for their Etsy shops.
Now, my licensing has come full circle. Before becoming a pattern designer, I worked for several years in nursing. While I love my career as an artist, my days as a nurse have stayed close to my heart. So, my latest collaboration with Koi Happiness Scrubs, which are an absolute burst of color and joy in hospital halls, feels incredibly special.
